Wei Wu
Wei Wu holds dual appointments as director of the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) under the College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences, and as director of the China Affairs Office at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is also chairman and CEO of Nanyang Venture Consultants Pte. Ltd. (Shanghai), and executive director of the Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship Programme. Dr. Wu served as an associate dean of the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, and associate dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and was founding head of the Politics and Public Administration Unit at NTU.
Wu specializes in communication and public management, and has conducted a wide range of studies on media effects and public relations. He has published in top-ranking international journals, and made presentations at major international conferences. Dr. Wu has taught courses in Leadership in public sectors, public relations, and organizational communication at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He has also conducted extensive training and consulting services for various government agencies and companies in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. His recent research projects include a major study on public service quality, public communication, and government-media relations.
Wei Wu received a master of arts degree in communications from Stanford University, and a master of arts degree in English literature from Xiamen University. He received his Ph.D. in communications from Indiana University and is a tenured associate professor at NTU.
